The Court of Appeal agreed with <abbr title=\"HM Revenue and Customs\">HMRC<\/abbr>\u2019s argument that the payments were made as part of overall wages and, as a result, should have been subject to <abbr title=\"pay-as-you-earn\">PAYE<\/abbr> and <abbr title=\"National Insurance Contributions\">NICs<\/abbr>.
