These must now be in PDF format only &#8211; the portal will no longer support Microsoft Word attachments. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/cde-portal-what-to-include-in-your-proposal#attachments\">See further guidance on attachments<\/a>. Any existing Microsoft Word document attachments will be converted to PDF by the system.<\/p>\n<div class=\"call-to-action\">\n<p>The only way to submit a research proposal to <abbr title=\"Centre for Defence Enterprise\">CDE<\/abbr> is <a rel=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/innovative.ideas.mod.uk\/(Q(1))\/Welcome.aspx?QTVShellInfo=.1\">through the online portal<\/a>.
