{"id":60490,"date":"2015-08-18T13:08:21","date_gmt":"2015-08-18T13:08:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=be80bf893066830cec45dc886fb93ca6"},"modified":"2015-08-18T13:08:21","modified_gmt":"2015-08-18T13:08:21","slug":"press-release-wales-office-minister-marks-airbus-record-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=60490","title":{"rendered":"Press release: Wales Office Minister marks Airbus record deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Wales Office Minister Alun Cairns has today (18 August) hailed the announcement of a record Airbus aircraft order as validation of north east Wales\u2019 credentials as a key player in the Northern Powerhouse.<\/p>\n<p>Airbus \u2013 which manufactures its aircraft wings in Broughton \u2013 has today announced it has finalised a \u00a317billion deal with Indian airline, IndiGo for 250 of its A320neo aircraft. It is the largest number of aircraft bought in a single order for the aerospace company.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking during a visit to north Wales with Northern Powerhouse Minister, James Wharton today, Mr Cairns said that north east Wales based companies like Airbus have much to gain from the growing momentum of the Northern Powerhouse.   <\/p>\n<h3 id=\"wales-office-minister-alun-cairns-said\">Wales Office Minister Alun Cairns said:<\/h3>\n<blockquote>\n<p>This news will come as a tremendous boost for the Broughton based Airbus workforce which will see order books for its aircraft wings further bolstered by this record deal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\">This announcement shows that we have the abilities and skills in north east Wales to be recognised on a global scale. That is why it is crucial that the region is plugged into the Northern Powerhouse.
