{"id":60510,"date":"2015-08-19T08:05:06","date_gmt":"2015-08-19T08:05:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=6f921f8f974a5b62dd8d76e520e8571b"},"modified":"2015-08-19T08:05:06","modified_gmt":"2015-08-19T08:05:06","slug":"news-story-government-and-oracle-sign-new-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=60510","title":{"rendered":"News story: Government and Oracle sign new deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The Crown Commercial Service (<abbr title=\"Crown Commercial Service\">CCS<\/abbr>), working on behalf of Government\u2019s Technology Leaders, and Oracle have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (<abbr title=\"Memorandum of Understanding\">MoU<\/abbr>) that will deliver additional savings for the taxpayer over the next three years.<\/p>\n<p>The new <abbr title=\"Memorandum of Understanding\">MoU<\/abbr> builds on the previous agreement signed in 2012 and extends the scope to additional public sector bodies, including the NHS, and more products and services.<\/p>\n<p>Sally Collier, Chief Executive of <abbr title=\"Crown Commercial Service\">CCS<\/abbr> said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">The enhanced <abbr title=\"Memorandum of Understanding\">MoU<\/abbr> will deliver savings across government and allow easier and more effective procurement of Oracle products and services. It lays the foundation of a more collaborative relationship between government and Oracle.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Oracle is one of government\u2019s strategic suppliers and their Senior Vice President and UK Country Leader Dermot O\u2019Kelly added:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">We are delighted to demonstrate our commitment to the agenda of the new government in saving money and delivering leading-edge information technology to help transform public services.
