The UK Ministry of Defence\u2019s (MOD<\/abbr>) Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl<\/abbr>) has been working with 3SDL<\/a> to develop Collaborative Electronic Support Measures Operations (CESMO<\/abbr>) HUB software. <\/p>\n

3SDL has now signed a licence agreement with Dstl<\/abbr>\u2019s technology transfer company, Ploughshare Innovations Limited<\/a>, for the software. <\/p>\n

CESMO<\/abbr> HUB V6 will be the first operational version of the software package that allows the UK and its allies in NATO to share standardised but vital Electronic Surveillance (ES<\/abbr>) data in near-real-time (NRT<\/abbr>). Connecting easily with ground, air and maritime systems using existing networks, CESMO<\/abbr> HUB provides a simple, quick and effective way of integrating systems to the CESMO<\/abbr> standard (NATO STANAG 4658), which enables radar and communications emitters to be efficiently triangulated by networked sensors. The resultant positions are shared for NRT<\/abbr> platform protection, and to improve the mission commanders\u2019 situational awareness. CESMO<\/abbr> HUB is already used by electronic warfare (EW<\/abbr>) development teams in many nations for research and experiments.<\/p>\n

Designed for ease of integration, James Kirby, CEO of Dstl<\/abbr>\u2019s intellectual property licencing arm Ploughshare Innovations, said:<\/p>\n

We selected 3SDL because of its EW<\/abbr> software capability and excellent knowledge of international procurement. We believe that 3SDL will be able to ensure that CESMO<\/abbr> HUB is accessible to all, affordable and well supported for the next 10 years and beyond.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In response, 3SDL\u2019s Chairman, Dibble Clark, spoke about his company\u2019s licencing of the UK MOD<\/abbr>\u2019s software: <\/p>\n

3SDL will be formally launching CESMO<\/abbr> HUB V6 at DSEI, ExCel London 15-18 September at stand S10-451 where it will be presenting live CESMO<\/abbr> capability demonstrations.<\/p>\n
