The new contract offers a single helpdesk to customers in the public sector to help manage their <abbr title=\"Facilities Management\">FM<\/abbr> services. <\/p>\n<p>This contract alone is anticipated to save the public sector \u00a34.8 million and complements the new government-wide <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/ccs-agreements.cabinetoffice.gov.uk\/contracts\/rm1056\"><abbr title=\"Facilities Management\">FM<\/abbr> Services agreement<\/a> launched in July. The agreement enables customers across central government and the wider public sector to access a comprehensive range of <abbr title=\"Facilities Management\">FM<\/abbr> Services. This includes mechanical and electrical maintenance, mail services, cleaning and security.<\/p>\n<p>Today\u2019s deal adds to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/new-facilities-management-agreement-anticipated-to-save-in-excess-of-200-million\">anticipated \u00a3200 million facilities management savings<\/a> for government over the next 4 years. We will achieve this through better buying, combining requirements and the standardising service provision. <abbr title=\"Crown Commercial Service\">CCS<\/abbr> has appointed a range of suppliers across the <abbr title=\"Facilities Management\">FM<\/abbr> Services agreement, providing services that meet customer needs at a competitive rate.<\/p>\n<p>John Manzoni, Chief Executive of the Civil Service said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">This new contract is great news for the taxpayer and for the government bodies that will use it.
