{"id":62067,"date":"2015-09-24T11:27:41","date_gmt":"2015-09-24T11:27:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=84de6c4638a942e024621d28f3816be5"},"modified":"2015-09-24T11:27:41","modified_gmt":"2015-09-24T11:27:41","slug":"news-story-alcohol-wholesaler-registration-scheme-postponed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=62067","title":{"rendered":"News story: Alcohol Wholesaler Registration Scheme postponed"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The Alcohol Wholesaler Registration Scheme will reduce the risk of illicit alcohol, on which no duty has been paid, being sold to unsuspecting consumers.<\/p>\n<p>To be approved under the scheme, traders wanting to wholesale alcohol will have to pass rigorous checks and in 2017, the scheme will also provide a facility for retailers to check whether their suppliers are approved.<\/p>\n<p>We planned to launch an online registration application service for alcohol wholesalers on 1 October 2015. This will now be postponed until 1 January 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Rigorous pre-launch testing has revealed some technical issues that need to be fixed before the service is launched.
