{"id":62240,"date":"2015-09-29T09:50:00","date_gmt":"2015-09-29T09:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=a068866bee8960d99ce46eb179a7f02b"},"modified":"2015-09-29T09:50:00","modified_gmt":"2015-09-29T09:50:00","slug":"news-story-rpa-helps-farmers-by-providing-guidance-on-greening-rules-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=62240","title":{"rendered":"News story: RPA helps farmers by providing guidance on greening rules 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Updated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/the-basic-payment-scheme-bps-rules-for-2016\">guidance on EU greening rules<\/a> to help farmers applying for Basic Payment Scheme (<abbr title=\"Basic Payment Scheme\">BPS<\/abbr>) payments in 2016, make their \u2018greening\u2019 calculations has been published.<\/p>\n<p>The rules cover three areas \u2013 crop diversification, Ecological Focus Areas (EFAs) and measures to maintain permanent grassland.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"update-for-2016\">Update for 2016<\/h2>\n<p>The key changes to the greening rules are :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>oilseed radish can now count (as part of a mix) as an <abbr title=\"Ecological Focus Area\">EFA<\/abbr> catch and\/or cover crop<\/li>\n<li>some <abbr title=\"Ecological Focus Area\">EFA<\/abbr> features can now be up to 5 metres away from arable land, rather than immediately next to it<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"which-farmers-are-affected\">Which farmers are affected?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>farmers with 10 or more hectares of arable land need to follow the crop diversification greening rule<\/li>\n<li>farmers with more than 15 hectares of arable land must also follow the <abbr title=\"Ecological Focus Area\">EFA<\/abbr> greening rule<\/li>\n<li>farmers with less than 10 hectares of arable land do not need to do anything differently \u2013 they automatically meet the crop diversification and <abbr title=\"Ecological Focus Area\">EFA<\/abbr> rules<\/li>\n<li>farmers who apply to the Basic Payment Scheme with permanent grassland must follow the permanent grassland greening rule<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Updated guidance on EU greening rules has been published<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":8,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[13],"tags":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/62240"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/8"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=62240"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/62240\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=62240"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=62240"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=62240"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
