{"id":62980,"date":"2015-10-19T09:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-10-19T09:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=e188c54f17aeeb34408596fed0f554cb"},"modified":"2015-10-19T09:00:00","modified_gmt":"2015-10-19T09:00:00","slug":"news-story-transport-secretary-and-east-midlands-trains-mark-new-era-for-customers-as-13-million-investment-programme-gets-underway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=62980","title":{"rendered":"News story: Transport Secretary and East Midlands Trains mark new era for customers as \u00a313 million investment programme gets underway"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin today <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.eastmidlandstrains.co.uk\/information\/media\/news\/Transport-Secretary-and-East-Midlands-Trains-mark-new-era-for-customers-as-13m--investment-programme-gets-underway\/\">marked the first day<\/a> of East Midlands Trains\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/better-journeys-for-east-midlands-rail-passengers-as-government-confirms-new-deal\">extended franchise<\/a>, joining Neil Micklethwaite, <abbr title=\"East Midlands Trains\">EMT<\/abbr> Customer Experience and Commercial Director and the team at Derby station to despatch the 08:01 hours service to London.<\/p>\n<p>Mr McLoughlin said: <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">I want to see passengers put at the heart of our railway system. The franchise that starts today will mean better journeys and a better deal for passengers on East Midlands Trains.
