Most of these changes will affect all applications submitted on or after 19 November 2015 unless otherwise stated. <\/p>\n<p>The main changes are:<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"asylum\">Asylum<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>making asylum claims from EU nationals invalid, unless exceptional circumstances apply<\/li>\n<li>clarifying the circumstances in which refugee status will be withdrawn<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 id=\"settlement\">Settlement<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>ensuring indefinite leave and naturalisation applicants, who normally rely on an English language qualification, take a secure English language test<\/li>\n<li>the introduction of the \u00a335k minimum earnings threshold for Tier 2 settlement, which will come into force on 6 April 2016<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 id=\"familyprivate-life\">Family\/private life<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>providing that a child\u2019s application for entry clearance will be refused where the Secretary of State considers that the sponsor or the sponsor\u2019s partner poses a risk to the child<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 id=\"tier-1-exceptional-talent-of-the-points-based-system\">Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent) of the points-based system<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>amending the endorsement criteria used by Tech City UK, to better reflect the skills and experience of target applicants who are most likely to add value to the UK digital technology sector<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 id=\"tiers-2-and-5-of-the-points-based-system\">Tiers 2 and 5 of the points-based system<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>adding nurses and four digital technology jobs to the Tier 2 shortage occupation list<\/li>\n<li>changes to clarify the charity worker rules for sponsors and applicants.<\/li>\n<li>Setting the annual allocation of places available under the youth mobility scheme for 2016<\/li>\n<li>minor amendments to the list of government authorised exchange schemes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can read more about additional changes to the Immigration Rules in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/collections\/immigration-rules-statement-of-changes\">statement of changes<\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UK Visas and Immigration is making changes to the Immigration Rules affecting various categories.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":8,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[13],"tags":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/63432"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/8"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=63432"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/63432\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=63432"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=63432"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=63432"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
