{"id":63684,"date":"2015-11-04T12:27:00","date_gmt":"2015-11-04T12:27:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=010d9ffed44f2e5af443484870a96801"},"modified":"2015-11-04T12:27:00","modified_gmt":"2015-11-04T12:27:00","slug":"news-story-rpa-making-good-progress-towards-bps-payments-for-farmers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=63684","title":{"rendered":"News story: RPA making good progress towards BPS payments for farmers"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>With less than a month to go before Basic Payment Scheme (<abbr title=\"Basic Payment Scheme\">BPS<\/abbr>) payments to farmers in England are due to start, good progress is being made by the Rural Payments Agency (<abbr title=\"Rural Payments Agency\">RPA<\/abbr> ).<\/p>\n<p>A series of transfers and checks need to be made before payments can be made. The <abbr title=\"Rural Payments Agency\">RPA<\/abbr> has confirmed that it has completed land and entitlement transfer processing and will write to farmers and agents to confirm that their transfers have been made in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<p>This means that the <abbr title=\"Rural Payments Agency\">RPA<\/abbr> remains on track to make full <abbr title=\"Basic Payment Scheme\">BPS<\/abbr> payments as early as possible in the payment window with the majority before the end of December and the vast majority by the end of January 2016.The <abbr title=\"Basic Payment Scheme\">BPS<\/abbr> payment window opens in December and closes in June 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The <abbr title=\"Rural Payments Agency\">RPA<\/abbr> will issue <abbr title=\"Basic Payment Scheme\">BPS<\/abbr> payments via <abbr title=\"Banks Automated Clearing Services\">BACS<\/abbr> transfer and applicants are reminded that if their bank details have changed they need to call the Rural Services helpline on 03000 200 301 to provide new details.<\/p>\n<p>If applicants have recently changed their email address they can log in to the Rural Payments system to update it.<\/p>\n<p>Farmers who have applied for <abbr title=\"Basic Payment Scheme\">BPS<\/abbr> 2015 but have not yet registered on the Rural Payments system are advised to contact the Rural Services helpline on 03000 200 301 as soon as possible.
