{"id":63946,"date":"2015-11-10T14:46:00","date_gmt":"2015-11-10T14:46:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=81ea154e4170979356dbc0b947be6a7c"},"modified":"2015-11-10T14:46:00","modified_gmt":"2015-11-10T14:46:00","slug":"news-story-2015-basic-payment-scheme-entitlement-values-and-national-reserve-confirmed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=63946","title":{"rendered":"News story: 2015 Basic Payment Scheme entitlement values and National Reserve confirmed"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Entitlement values, including those for greening, that will now be used to calculate farmers\u2019 2015 Basic Payment Scheme (BPS) payments have been confirmed by the Rural Payments Agency (RPA).<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"entitlement-values\">Entitlement values<\/h2>\n<p>Under the BPS scheme, farmers need to hold an entitlement for every hectare of eligible land they are claiming on. The size of farmers\u2019 payments will depend on how many entitlements they use, supported by eligible land and the value of those entitlements.<\/p>\n<p>Entitlement values are: <\/p>\n<p>BPS:<\/p>\n<p>\u20ac 171.83 for non-SDA (Severely Disadvantaged Areas)<\/p>\n<p>\u20ac 170.60 for upland SDA, other than moorland<\/p>\n<p>\u20ac 45.07 for upland SDA moorland<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"greening-rates\">Greening rates<\/h2>\n<p>Farmers must also meet new greening rules to receive additional funding. The greening part of payments will be calculated by taking the number of entitlements that they have used with eligible land to claim payment and multiplying it by the greening value.<\/p>\n<p>The greening rates are: <\/p>\n<p>\u20ac 76.19 for non-SDA (Severely Disadvantaged Areas)<\/p>\n<p>\u20ac 75.64 for upland SDA, other than moorland<\/p>\n<p>\u20ac 19.99 for upland SDA moorland<\/p>\n<p>The exchange rate that will be applied is \u20ac1 = \u00a30.73129 <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"national-reserve\">National Reserve<\/h2>\n<p>The scheme\u2019s National Reserve &#8211; used to fund additional entitlements for the Young and New Farmers &#8211; has been set at 0.75%. The RPA will soon be contacting anyone who has applied for entitlements from the National Reserve to confirm if their application has been successful.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"young-farmer-payment\">Young Farmer Payment<\/h2>\n<p>Eligible Young Farmers, who applied, will receive an additional payment equivalent to a quarter of their entitlement value.
