{"id":64509,"date":"2015-11-23T14:11:31","date_gmt":"2015-11-23T14:11:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=7680752a580d42d54cc022d710347c79"},"modified":"2015-11-23T14:11:31","modified_gmt":"2015-11-23T14:11:31","slug":"news-story-rpa-remains-on-track-to-pay-bps-2015-claims-from-december","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=64509","title":{"rendered":"News story: RPA remains on track to pay BPS 2015 claims from December"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The Rural Payments Agency (<abbr title=\"Rural Payments Agency\">RPA<\/abbr>) has confirmed it is on track to start making full Basic Payment Scheme (<abbr title=\"Basic Payment Scheme\">BPS<\/abbr>) payments in December and more than half of the claimants in England are set to receive their payment before the end of that month. <\/p>\n<p>The Financial Discipline Mechanism (<abbr title=\"Financial Discipline Mechanism\">FDM<\/abbr>) deduction rate has been confirmed at 1.393041% by the European Commission. The <abbr title=\"Rural Payments Agency\">RPA<\/abbr> will now use this rate to calculate 2015 <abbr title=\"Basic Payment Scheme\">BPS<\/abbr> payments by applying it to all claims over \u20ac2,000. This will be used to create a reserve fund to support the farming industry in times of crisis, such as disease outbreak. <\/p>\n<p>The <abbr title=\"Rural Payments Agency\">RPA<\/abbr> understands the importance of prompt payments. The <abbr title=\"Basic Payment Scheme\">BPS<\/abbr> payment window runs from December 2015 to June 2016 and following on from payments made in December, the <abbr title=\"Rural Payments Agency\">RPA<\/abbr> will make the vast majority of payments by the end of January.<\/p>\n<p>Once the <abbr title=\"Rural Payments Agency\">RPA<\/abbr> has made a payment, it will send a remittance advice which will show the payment amount. After the remittance advice, and from mid-January, a claim statement will be sent to show how they\u2019ve worked out the payment.  <\/p>\n<p>The <abbr title=\"Rural Payments Agency\">RPA<\/abbr> will issue <abbr title=\"Basic Payment Scheme\">BPS<\/abbr> payments via <abbr title=\"Bankers Automated Clearing Services\">BACS<\/abbr> transfer and applicants are reminded that if their bank details have changed they need to call the Rural Services helpline on 03000 200 301 to provide new details.<\/p>\n<p>Farmers who have applied for <abbr title=\"Basic Payment Scheme\">BPS<\/abbr> 2015 but have not yet registered on the Rural Payments system are advised to contact the Rural Services helpline on 03000 200 301 as soon as possible.
