{"id":64814,"date":"2015-12-01T09:39:08","date_gmt":"2015-12-01T09:39:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=15d02c41bf832dd63f26739ce8807c9a"},"modified":"2015-12-01T09:39:08","modified_gmt":"2015-12-01T09:39:08","slug":"press-release-a64-resurfacing-near-malton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=64814","title":{"rendered":"Press release: A64 resurfacing near Malton"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Contractors from Highways England are resurfacing a 1.5 mile stretch of the westbound carriageway between the Scarborough Road junction for Norton and the A169 junction for Pickering.<\/p>\n<p>The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight, Monday to Friday, during the work which will be carried out between 8pm and 6am from Tuesday 1 December until Friday 8 January. <\/p>\n<p>Highways England project manager Martin Barnes said: <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>When complete, this project will provide drivers with smoother and safer journeys along the A64.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\">The work will be carried out overnight when traffic levels are at their lowest to keep disruption to a minimum.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Westbound traffic will be diverted off the exit slip road to the B1248 Scarborough Road before turning right on the B1257 at Castlegate.
