{"id":65013,"date":"2015-12-04T14:28:42","date_gmt":"2015-12-04T14:28:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=b8ed50b66bd1d17b4e5c20b998383e9b"},"modified":"2015-12-04T14:28:42","modified_gmt":"2015-12-04T14:28:42","slug":"press-release-improvements-in-ae-and-financial-performance-at-kingston-hospital-recognised-by-regulator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=65013","title":{"rendered":"Press release: Improvements in A&amp;E and financial performance at Kingston Hospital recognised by regulator"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The regulator launched its investigation in June 2015 because patients were waiting too long to receive <abbr title=\"accident and emergency department\">A&amp;E<\/abbr> treatment and to understand what could be done to reduce the deterioration of the trust\u2019s finances. <\/p>\n<p>Monitor\u2019s investigation found that the trust is working closely with other local NHS organisations to find ways to improve its <abbr title=\"accident and emergency department\">A&amp;E<\/abbr> performance and provide patients in South West London with quality services.<\/p>\n<p>The trust also has a tighter grip on its finances, reducing its predicted end of year deficit from \u00a38.8 million to \u00a36.1 million. It has improved its short and long-term financial planning and developed a recovery plan to ensure that it remains financially sustainable so it can continue to deliver quality care for patients.<\/p>\n<p>Victoria Woodhatch, Deputy Regional Director at Monitor, said: <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>We are pleased to see the trust is working hard to turn around its finances and reduce waiting times for patients at <abbr title=\"accident and emergency department\">A&amp;E<\/abbr>.
