{"id":65487,"date":"2015-12-15T15:58:41","date_gmt":"2015-12-15T15:58:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=b62d97f9ae1efe546ae797427f65ae84"},"modified":"2015-12-15T15:58:41","modified_gmt":"2015-12-15T15:58:41","slug":"news-story-new-eu-regulation-on-hazardous-chemicals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=65487","title":{"rendered":"News story: New EU Regulation on Hazardous Chemicals"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The European Commission has published a new Regulation, <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/EN\/TXT\/?uri=uriserv:OJ.L_.2015.317.01.0013.01.ENG&amp;toc=OJ:L:2015:317:TOC\">Commission Delegated Regulation 2015\/2229<\/a> which concerns the import and export of hazardous chemicals.<\/p>\n<p>Fenbutatin oxide is no longer approved for use as a pesticide, and has been added to the lists of chemicals contained in Parts 1 and 2 of Annex I to <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/LexUriServ\/LexUriServ.do?uri=OJ:L:2012:201:0060:0106:en:PDF\">Regulation (EU) No 649\/2012<\/a>. A number of other chemicals have now been added to Annex I of Regulation 649\/2012, which are subject to export notification procedure. These are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>lead compounds<\/li>\n<li>dibutyltin compounds<\/li>\n<li>trichlorobenzene <\/li>\n<li>pentachloroethane<\/li>\n<li>1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane<\/li>\n<li>1,1,1,2-tetrachloroethane<\/li>\n<li>1,1,2-trichloroethane<\/li>\n<li>1,1-dichloroethene<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, endosulfan has been added to Annex V of Regulation 649\/2012 as a <abbr title=\"Persistent Organic Pollutant\">POP<\/abbr> to be consistent with the listing of this class of chemicals under the <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/chm.pops.int\/default.aspx\">Stockholm Convention<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New EU Regulation on Import and Export of Hazardous Chemicals<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":8,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[13],"tags":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/65487"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/8"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=65487"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/65487\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=65487"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=65487"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=65487"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
