Miss Edwards will take up her duties on 7 February 2016.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"biographical-notes\">Biographical notes<\/h2>\n<p>Sara Elinor Edwards has been vice Lord-Lieutenant of Dyfed since April 2011.<\/p>\n<p>A history graduate with deep family roots in the farming community of the county, she is also well known in Wales for her television work.  She is a Divisional Vice President of <abbr title=\"National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children\">NSPCC<\/abbr>, and is involved with several other charitable organisations such as St. John Cymru and the Hijinx Theatre Company.<\/p>\n<p>She is the daughter of surgeon John M. Edwards and actress and broadcaster Gwenyth Petty.
