{"id":65808,"date":"2015-12-22T12:00:32","date_gmt":"2015-12-22T12:00:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=6a600c8888f415d9ce4c0bef6d5e88be"},"modified":"2015-12-22T12:00:32","modified_gmt":"2015-12-22T12:00:32","slug":"news-story-cma-signs-memorandums-of-understanding-with-2-regulators","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=65808","title":{"rendered":"News story: CMA signs memorandums of understanding with 2 regulators"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/cma-and-fca-memorandum-of-understanding\">Financial Conduct Authority (<abbr title=\"Financial Conduct Authority\">FCA<\/abbr>)<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/cma-and-psr-memorandum-of-understanding\">Payment Systems Regulator (<abbr title=\"Payment Systems Regulator\">PSR<\/abbr>)<\/a> have agreed <abbr title=\"memorandums of understanding\">MoUs<\/abbr> setting out the framework for co-operation with the Competition and Markets Authority (<abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr>), following their acquisition of full concurrent competition powers in April 2015.<\/p>\n<p>The new <abbr title=\"memorandums of understanding\">MoUs<\/abbr> set out arrangements relating to the allocation of cases, the sharing of information and confidentiality constraints, and the pooling of resources in relation to these powers, which are held concurrently by the <abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr> and those regulators respectively. <\/p>\n<p>These new <abbr title=\"memorandums of understanding\">MoUs<\/abbr> are similar to those agreed last year with Ofcom, Ofwat, Ofgem, the Office of Rail and Road, the Civil Aviation Authority and the Northern Ireland Authority for Utility Regulation.
