{"id":65864,"date":"2015-12-23T15:59:55","date_gmt":"2015-12-23T15:59:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=e6220b144b2f5f23ace69f6088390b6e"},"modified":"2015-12-23T15:59:55","modified_gmt":"2015-12-23T15:59:55","slug":"news-story-cma-accepts-car-auction-undertakings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=65864","title":{"rendered":"News story: CMA accepts car auction undertakings"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>On 1 December, the Competition and Markets Authority (<abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr>) announced that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/cma-looks-in-detail-at-car-auction-merger-undertakings\">it would consider in detail undertakings proposed<\/a> by BCA Marketplace (BCA) instead of referring the case for an in-depth merger investigation.<\/p>\n<p>BCA Marketplace has offered to sell an auction site in Newcastle to a suitable buyer to remedy the competition concerns identified by the <abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr>. <\/p>\n<p>The <abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr> proposes to accept the proposed undertakings, which it currently considers are appropriate to resolve its concerns.<\/p>\n<p>Before reaching a final decision, the <abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr> carefully assessed and consulted publicly on the proposed undertakings.
