{"id":65867,"date":"2015-12-23T15:00:21","date_gmt":"2015-12-23T15:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=9d392a4985d8a202de14cc918a3c9dfb"},"modified":"2015-12-23T15:00:21","modified_gmt":"2015-12-23T15:00:21","slug":"news-story-cma-invites-comments-on-petrol-station-merger-undertakings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=65867","title":{"rendered":"News story: CMA invites comments on petrol station merger undertakings"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>On 10 December 2015, the Competition and Markets Authority (<abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr>) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/cma-to-look-in-detail-at-mrh-undertakings-offer\">announced that it would look in detail at these undertakings<\/a>, which followed <abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr> concerns about a loss of competition following the merger in 2 local areas in Cambridge and Brighton. <\/p>\n<p>MRH (GB) Limited has proposed to divest either the MRH Girton or the Esso City site in Cambridge, and the Esso Patcham site in Brighton.<\/p>\n<p>The <abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr> has until 9 February 2016 to consider whether to accept the undertakings, or a modified version of them. As part of this process, the <abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr> is now consulting publicly on whether the proposals are sufficient to address the <abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr>\u2019s competition concerns.<\/p>\n<p>Before reaching a final decision, the <abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr> is therefore inviting interested parties to make their views known.
