{"id":65875,"date":"2015-12-24T10:00:04","date_gmt":"2015-12-24T10:00:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=5c12c7551039f6f919465fd4bd23aade"},"modified":"2015-12-24T10:00:04","modified_gmt":"2015-12-24T10:00:04","slug":"news-story-improvements-on-the-a64","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=65875","title":{"rendered":"News story: Improvements on the A64"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Together these projects will improve journeys for drivers by making the road safer and the surface smoother.<\/p>\n<p>There will be some short term disruption as we need to close sections of the carriageway on a number of nights. <\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a summary of the closures and diversion routes to help you plan your journeys.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"a64-between-askham-bar-and-fulford-junction-with-the-a19\">A64 between Askham Bar and Fulford (junction with the A19)<\/h2>\n<p>We\u2019ve got essential maintenance work to carry out on the bridge which runs over the River Ouse at Bishopthorpe.<\/p>\n<p>There will be overnight closures of both east and westbound carriageways in place, generally between 8pm and 6am:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>between 4 &#8211; 8 January<\/li>\n<li>in late February for approximately 3 nights<\/li>\n<li>for a number of weeks in March, April and May<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Drivers are advised to follow the A1237, northern outer ring road. Local traffic can follow the signed diversion through York via the A1036 Tadcaster Road and the A19 Fulford Road<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"a64-between-the-b1248-scarborough-to-the-junction-with-the-a169-for-pickering\">A64 between the B1248 Scarborough to the junction with the A169 for Pickering<\/h2>\n<p>Road resurfacing of the westbound carriageway will take place on 4 January for approximately one week.<br \/>\nMusley bank to the junction of the A169 for Pickering.<\/p>\n<p>Improvement works will take place to refresh white lines and replace reflective road studs on 4 January for approximately one week.
