She is also an experienced non-executive director.<\/p>\n<p>As the Chair Jayne will lead the <abbr title=\"Defence Infrastructure Organisation\">DIO<\/abbr> Board, whose role is to support and challenge the <abbr title=\"Defence Infrastructure Organisation\">DIO<\/abbr> executive in the development of business strategies and plans, and to monitor <abbr title=\"Defence Infrastructure Organisation\">DIO<\/abbr>\u2019s performance against its business objectives.<\/p>\n<p>Jon Thompson, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence said: <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">Jayne brings wide and hugely valuable experience across the property sector to this new role as non-executive Chair of the <abbr title=\"Defence Infrastructure Organisation\">DIO<\/abbr> Board. I will be looking to Jayne to bring her wealth of experience to bear in working with Dave Mitchard, the Chief Executive of <abbr title=\"Defence Infrastructure Organisation\">DIO<\/abbr>, and his leadership team to ensure effective delivery of infrastructure services to <abbr title=\"Defence Infrastructure Organisation's\">DIO\u2019s<\/abbr> customers, delivery of the footprint strategy and <abbr title=\"Defence Infrastructure Organisation's\">DIO\u2019s<\/abbr> transformation and efficiency agenda.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Jayne said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">I am delighted to be taking up this role with <abbr title=\"Defence Infrastructure Organisation\">DIO<\/abbr>.
