{"id":66666,"date":"2016-01-21T10:00:06","date_gmt":"2016-01-21T10:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=38be69767066507e455554afc4d9e51c"},"modified":"2016-01-21T10:00:06","modified_gmt":"2016-01-21T10:00:06","slug":"press-release-lord-lieutenant-of-gwent-robert-aitken","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=66666","title":{"rendered":"Press release: Lord-Lieutenant of Gwent: Robert Aitken"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The Queen has been pleased to appoint Brigadier Robert Aitken, CBE, DL as Lord-Lieutenant of Gwent to succeed Sir Simon Boyle, KCVO, who retires on 23 March 2016.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"biographical-notes\">Biographical notes<\/h2>\n<p>Brigadier Aitken is currently Deputy Lieutenant of Gwent and has lived in Gwent since childhood.<\/p>\n<p>Following a choral scholarship to Oxford, Brigadier Aitken was commissioned in the Royal Regiment of Wales. He had a distinguished military career lasting 34 years during which time he was awarded a CBE.<\/p>\n<p>He is currently the Director of Music in Hospitals Cymru\/Wales, a charity that provides live music events in healthcare settings. He is an Officer of the Order of St John Cymru, and chairman of 3 military charitable trusts.
