{"id":66675,"date":"2016-01-21T11:14:56","date_gmt":"2016-01-21T11:14:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=134c72bc375a2f3d2b3bf50f94df34eb"},"modified":"2016-01-21T11:14:56","modified_gmt":"2016-01-21T11:14:56","slug":"statement-to-parliament-publication-of-reformed-history-of-art-subject-content","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=66675","title":{"rendered":"Statement to Parliament: Publication of reformed History of Art subject content"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The government is reforming <abbr>GCSEs<\/abbr> and <abbr>A levels<\/abbr> to be more knowledge-based and to make sure that they give students the best possible preparation for further and higher education, and for employment.<\/p>\n<p>Schools are now teaching some of the new reformed <abbr>GCSEs<\/abbr> and <abbr>A levels<\/abbr>, and we have already published reformed subject content for those <abbr>GCSEs<\/abbr> and <abbr>A levels<\/abbr> to be taught from September 2016 as well as for some of the GCSE and <abbr>A levels<\/abbr> to be taught from September 2017. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/collections\/gcse-subject-content\">Content for reformed GCSE subjects can be found here<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/collections\/gce-as-and-a-level-subject-content\">content for AS and A level subjects here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Today I am publishing revised subject content for history of art AS and <abbr>A levels<\/abbr> that will be taught in schools from September 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Students will study a wide range of art and artists from different movements and periods including pre- and post-1850, ensuring good breadth and depth of study.
