{"id":67224,"date":"2016-02-03T13:21:00","date_gmt":"2016-02-03T13:21:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=f7ab5098176e5a8b701a2d274782bee4"},"modified":"2016-02-03T13:21:00","modified_gmt":"2016-02-03T13:21:00","slug":"news-story-bps-2015-payments-continue-to-flow-to-farmers-in-england","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=67224","title":{"rendered":"News story: BPS 2015 payments continue to flow to farmers in England"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>66,800 farmers in England (77%) had been paid their 2015 Basic Payment Scheme (<abbr title=\"Basic Payment Scheme\">BPS<\/abbr>) payment by the end of January. <\/p>\n<p>The announcement from the Rural Payments Agency (<abbr title=\"Rural Payments Agency\">RPA<\/abbr>) means that over \u00a31 billion of an estimated total fund of \u00a31.43 billion has now been paid out for 2015. <\/p>\n<p>The <abbr title=\"Rural Payments Agency\">RPA<\/abbr> has also confirmed timings indicating when they aim to have paid almost all farmers. <\/p>\n<p><abbr title=\"Rural Payments Agency\">RPA<\/abbr> Chief Executive Mark Grimshaw said: <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>I understand how important it is to know more about the timings of payments for farmers who are running a business.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\">Our aim is to have paid almost all eligible farmers by the end of March with a few thousand of the more complex cases taking slightly longer, as they did under the Single Payment Scheme.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The <abbr title=\"Rural Payments Agency\">RPA<\/abbr> is working with a range of voluntary organisations to support farmers experiencing hardship.
