We\u2019ll let you know if a space becomes available.<br \/>\nWe\u2019ll release further dates soon &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/email-signup\/new?email_signup%5Bfeed%5D=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.gov.uk%2Fgovernment%2Forganisations%2Fcentre-for-defence-enterprise.atom\">you can sign up for alerts.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>These 30-minute face-to-face meetings give you the opportunity to discuss your innovative research idea with <abbr title=\"Centre for Defence Enterprise\">CDE<\/abbr> staff in private.<\/p>\n<p><abbr title=\"Centre for Defence Enterprise\">CDE<\/abbr> funds innovative proof-of-concept research that could lead to a cost-effective capability advantage for UK armed forces and national security. This is through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/collections\/centre-for-defence-enterprise-funding-competitions\">the enduring competition or specific themed competitions.<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>Before you come to your meeting please prepare by thinking about the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>what\u2019s your research idea?<\/li>\n<li>what do you think is the military benefit? will it save time\/costs, improve capability\/performance\/reliability? why should <abbr title=\"Ministry of Defence\">MOD<\/abbr> invest in this work?<\/li>\n<li>what will your approach be? how will you structure your research?<\/li>\n<li>what will you deliver? what evidence will you produce?<\/li>\n<li>what will the impact of your research be? how will you demonstrate progress towards the claimed benefit?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The main purpose of this meeting is for you to ask questions, and most importantly, receive advice from the team, so please leave time for this during your 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Spaces will be on a first-come, first-served basis and an organisation should only register once.<\/p>\n<p><abbr title=\"Centre for Defence Enterprise\">CDE<\/abbr> is part of the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (<abbr title=\"Defence Science and Technology Laboratory\">Dstl<\/abbr>) and only funds novel, high-risk, high-potential-benefit research.
