They discussed the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/topical-events\/supporting-syria-conference-2016\">Supporting Syria conference<\/a> and EU reform. On the Supporting Syria conference, the Prime Minister thanked Prime Minister Renzi for Italy\u2019s pledging contribution.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\">Discussing the UK\u2019s renegotiation of the EU, they agreed that <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.consilium.europa.eu\/en\/press\/press-releases\/2016\/02\/02-letter-tusk-proposal-new-settlement-uk\/\">the text put forward by the European Council President<\/a> was a good basis for reaching agreement in all 4 areas at the February European Council.
