{"id":68618,"date":"2016-03-15T17:30:34","date_gmt":"2016-03-15T17:30:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=7f7478b3fdd8d8c6b59b25b312a122dd"},"modified":"2016-03-15T17:30:34","modified_gmt":"2016-03-15T17:30:34","slug":"news-story-waterblade-energy-saving-adapter-for-taps-wins-ecobuild-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=68618","title":{"rendered":"News story: Waterblade: energy-saving adapter for taps wins Ecobuild award"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>A company that developed an adapter for a mixer tap after being winning an Innovate UK award has won Ecobuild\u2019s Big Innovation Pitch competition \u2013 organised in association with Marks &amp; Spencer.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.waterblade.co\/\">Waterblade<\/a> will now have the opportunity to work with the retailer on a potential trial of its device in the company\u2019s stores.<\/p>\n<p>The Waterblade fits into a mixer tap and makes washing of hands both more luxurious and water efficient.<\/p>\n<p>Company owner Nigel Bamford said: <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">At the time I invented the Waterblade I was working full time on a different business venture and did not have any spare time or design capacity.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">This all changed when I won an innovation voucher to work with Brighton University\u2019s product design department.
