It will also be a key centre for implementing the Government\u2019s Robotics and Autonomous Systems strategy, which aims to equip the UK to compete in this emerging global industry.<\/p>\n<p>The UKAEA and National Nuclear Laboratory Board members were among the early visitors to see the completed building.<\/p>\n<p>RACE offers access to test facilities, robotic equipment and expertise for SMEs, multinationals, research laboratories and academia from sectors with \u2018challenging environments\u2019 such as nuclear fission and fusion, petrochemical, space exploration, construction and mining. <\/p>\n<p>RACE Director Dr Rob Buckingham said: <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">We are extremely pleased with the new facility \u2013 thanks to our sponsors at BIS and the Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership for their support.
