{"id":70225,"date":"2016-05-05T15:33:35","date_gmt":"2016-05-05T15:33:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=ca1ce68261dbe0026d2be9a5b3e2d266"},"modified":"2016-05-05T15:33:35","modified_gmt":"2016-05-05T15:33:35","slug":"press-release-drivers-advised-to-plan-journeys-ahead-of-charity-bike-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=70225","title":{"rendered":"Press release: Drivers advised to plan journeys ahead of charity bike event"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Drivers are advised to plan their journeys and allow extra time as up to 3,500 motorcyclists take part in Midlands Air Ambulance Charity\u2019s sixth annual Bike4Life event between Shrewsbury and RAF Cosford this Sunday (8 May).<\/p>\n<p>Motorcyclists participating in the event will leave Meole Brace in Shrewsbury at 11.30am on Sunday and will ride to RAF Cosford via the A5, M54 and A41.<\/p>\n<p>The 23 mile journey only takes around half an hour but, depending on the number of people participating, there could be delays and some congestion along this route.<\/p>\n<p>The following closures will be in place during the event (approximately 11am \u2013 1pm):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the A5 eastbound between Dobbies roundabout and the M54, including the three roundabout  entrances (Dobbies, Preston and Emstrey)<\/li>\n<li>the M54 entry slip roads at junctions 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7<\/li>\n<li>the M54 westbound exit slip road at junction 3<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Diversion routes will be clearly signposted.<\/p>\n<p>Alexandra Brown, Emergency Planning Officer for Highways England, said: <\/p>\n<p>\u201cRoad users may experience some delays along these routes on Sunday morning, but these should ease fairly quickly.
