As such he will be Her Majesty\u2019s personal representative on the island and a key part of the constitutional relationship between the Crown, the United Kingdom and the island.<\/p>\n<p>Lord Faulks, as the minister responsible for the conduct of islands\u2019 business within Whitehall and for facilitating communication between the Crown Dependencies and the UK government, said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The office of Lieutenant Governor is an important Crown appointment.
