{"id":71062,"date":"2016-05-27T15:52:27","date_gmt":"2016-05-27T15:52:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=4535d41c799a289ab0ce56f1279161a2"},"modified":"2016-05-27T15:52:27","modified_gmt":"2016-05-27T15:52:27","slug":"news-story-fast-tracking-uk-innovation-apply-for-business-funding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=71062","title":{"rendered":"News story: Fast-tracking UK innovation: apply for business funding"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Innovate UK has up to \u00a315 million to invest in innovative research and development projects in an open competition targeted at a whole range of technology, engineering and industrial areas.<\/p>\n<p>Proposals can be drawn from any area including the 4 key sectors of manufacturing and materials; emerging and enabling technologies; health and life sciences; and infrastructure systems.<\/p>\n<div class=\"call-to-action\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/innovation-apply-for-a-funding-award\">Find out more about applying for an innovation award<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Projects must demonstrate:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>innovation leading to new products, processes or services<\/li>\n<li>a clear and anticipated growth impact leading to a significant return on investment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"competition-information\">Competition information<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>the competition opens on 6 June 2016 and the deadline for registration is at noon on 31 August 2016<\/li>\n<li>companies of any size can enter and they can work individually or collaboratively<\/li>\n<li>projects can focus on market research, technical feasibility , industrial research or experimental development<\/li>\n<li>we expect projects to range in size from total costs of \u00a325,000 up to \u00a31 million and to last between 6 and 36 months<\/li>\n<li>the level of support a business could receive ranges between 25% and 100% and depends on the type of project and size of the company<\/li>\n<li>a briefing webinar for potential applicants takes place on 14 June 2016<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"call-to-action\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/innovate-uk-open-funding-competition\">Find out more about this competition and apply<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>This competition is the first of two annual open competitions under Innovate UK\u2019s new simplified process for funding competitions.
