{"id":71654,"date":"2016-06-24T19:46:05","date_gmt":"2016-06-24T19:46:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=f185d15228436aee528868e57359d45a"},"modified":"2016-06-24T19:46:05","modified_gmt":"2016-06-24T19:46:05","slug":"press-release-pm-calls-with-president-obama-and-european-leaders-24-june-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=71654","title":{"rendered":"Press release: PM calls with President Obama and European leaders: 24 June 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Following the PM\u2019s phone call with President Barack Obama, a Downing Street spokesperson said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>President Obama called the Prime Minister earlier this afternoon to discuss the outcome of the referendum.<\/p>\n<p>The President underlined that the US and UK remained indispensable partners, and that he had personally appreciated the Prime Minister\u2019s leadership on a range of issues.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\">They looked forward to seeing each other at the NATO Summit in Warsaw for fuller discussions in a couple of weeks.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>And after the Prime Minister held a number of telephone conversations with European leaders today, a Downing Street spokesperson said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The Prime Minister spoke separately to a number of European leaders today \u2013 the President of the European Council Donald Tusk, President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande, Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, the Irish Taoiseach Enda Kenny, and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\">The Prime Minister thanked each of them for their support in the EU renegotiation process and during the referendum campaign.
