{"id":72086,"date":"2016-07-07T13:34:45","date_gmt":"2016-07-07T13:34:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=1f3a60bae270baea2d144acfcb74b5f9"},"modified":"2016-07-07T13:34:45","modified_gmt":"2016-07-07T13:34:45","slug":"news-story-commercialisation-of-quantum-technologies-apply-for-funding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=72086","title":{"rendered":"News story: Commercialisation of quantum technologies: apply for funding"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Innovate UK and the <a rel=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.epsrc.ac.uk\/\">Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council<\/a> (EPSRC) are inviting business to apply for a share of \u00a319.5 million.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of this competition is to encourage collaborative R&amp;D projects and feasibility studies that will either:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>develop prototype devices and demonstrators of quantum technologies or their component technologies<\/li>\n<li>improve the understanding of the technical, business or market challenges of taking a new device or service to market<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Feasibility studies can range in size from total costs of \u00a350,000 to \u00a3400,000. They should last between 6 months and 1 year.<\/p>\n<p>Collaborative R&amp;D projects can range in size from total costs of \u00a3500,000 to \u00a32 million. They should last up to 2 years and must be completed by 31 March 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Quantum technologies is a new and exciting \u00a31 billion sector which we predict will grow over the next decade.
