{"id":72979,"date":"2016-08-03T16:38:58","date_gmt":"2016-08-03T16:38:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=b776c65a1635fae89ba547635d693b21"},"modified":"2016-08-03T16:38:58","modified_gmt":"2016-08-03T16:38:58","slug":"news-story-crime-news-new-criminal-cases-unit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=72979","title":{"rendered":"News story: Crime news: New Criminal Cases Unit"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>A new \u2018Criminal Cases Unit\u2019 will be created on 1 September 2016 following an internal restructure.<\/p>\n<p>The current Teams work closely together; and this merger will allow us to streamline our claims processes, leading to a more efficient service.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"remit-of-the-team\">Remit of the team<\/h3>\n<p>The new unit will cover the same portfolio of work as the current 2 teams, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>very high cost cases<\/li>\n<li>Proceeds of Crime Act bills<\/li>\n<li>defendant\u2019s cost orders<\/li>\n<li>special preparation<\/li>\n<li>direct access claims<\/li>\n<li>inter partes applications<\/li>\n<li>escaped graduated fee cases<\/li>\n<li>private prosecutions<\/li>\n<li>S36\/S38 claims<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"submitting-work\">Submitting work<\/h3>\n<p>The unit will be based across four of the existing sites: London, Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester.
