The Centre for Defence Enterprise (CDE<\/abbr>), part of MOD<\/abbr>\u2019s Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl<\/abbr>), held a Marketplace event in London on 6 September 2016.<\/p>\n

The aim of the Marketplace is to showcase innovations from our funding competitions to potential investors, from the defence market and wider, to increase the likelihood of exploitation.<\/p>\n

This Marketplace featured winners of our autonomy and big data<\/a> competition with the UK Defence Solutions Centre<\/a>, plus additional successful projects from other CDE<\/abbr> funding competitions<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This high profile event was opened by Harriett Baldwin MP<\/a>, the Minister for Defence Procurement<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The day included keynote presentations, 5-minute pitch sessions from our exhibitors to give you a taster of what they\u2019ve done, and exhibition areas to showcase innovative projects, network and build new relationships.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve held 2 similar events in the last year and 100% of our exhibitors said that they found the events useful and made new connections and attendees found out about useful capabilities from innovative SMEs<\/abbr> and academia that fitted with their programmes. The events have attracted over 100 potential investors, and also press interest for exhibitors.<\/p>\n
