{"id":74118,"date":"2016-09-13T17:34:55","date_gmt":"2016-09-13T17:34:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=a7ae0883fbc70e79fa8704b08581db5f"},"modified":"2016-09-13T17:34:55","modified_gmt":"2016-09-13T17:34:55","slug":"press-release-pm-meeting-with-burmese-state-counsellor-aung-san-suu-kyi-13-september-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=74118","title":{"rendered":"Press release: PM meeting with Burmese State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi: 13 September 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>A Downing Street spokesperson said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The Prime Minister welcomed Burmese State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi to Downing Street today for bilateral discussions, in Aung San Suu Kyi\u2019s first visit outside of Asia since her National League for Democracy party\u2019s historic election victory in November 2015.<\/p>\n<p>The Prime Minister congratulated Aung San Suu Kyi on the progress made so far in Burma\u2019s political transition after years of military dictatorship.<\/p>\n<p>Aung San Suu Kyi thanked the Prime Minister for Britain\u2019s friendship and support.
