He has substantial procurement experience and an extensive board-level business career. He is formerly chief procurement officer at Interbrew\/InBev and Nestl\u00e9 SA.<\/p>\n<p><abbr title=\"Crown Commercial Service\">CCS<\/abbr> is an Executive Agency and Trading Fund of the Cabinet Office responsible for government procurement of common goods and services.<\/p>\n<p>Malcolm has been pushing forward <abbr title=\"Crown Commercial Service\">CCS<\/abbr>\u2019s priorities since his interim appointment. These include helping deliver commercial benefits to government departments and the wider public sector and delivering ministerial policy objectives, including increasing the proportion of government spend going to SMEs to one third by 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Malcolm is overseeing strategic programmes to transform <abbr title=\"Crown Commercial Service\">CCS<\/abbr>\u2019s operating model. He brings commercial focus and will work to make <abbr title=\"Crown Commercial Service\">CCS<\/abbr> deals easier to access for customers across central government and the wider public sector.<\/p>\n<p>Malcolm said: \u201cI am delighted to be appointed chief executive of <abbr title=\"Crown Commercial Service\">CCS<\/abbr>.
