{"id":74732,"date":"2016-10-05T08:30:07","date_gmt":"2016-10-05T08:30:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=745be47c78d041a6e86b3fae0585f389"},"modified":"2016-10-05T08:30:07","modified_gmt":"2016-10-05T08:30:07","slug":"news-story-reappointment-of-medical-research-council-chairman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=74732","title":{"rendered":"News story: Reappointment of Medical Research Council Chairman"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Universities and Science Minister Jo Johnson today (5 October 2016) confirmed the reappointment of Mr Donald Brydon <abbr title=\"Commander of the Order of the British Empire\">CBE<\/abbr> as the Chairman of the <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mrc.ac.uk\">Medical Research Council<\/a> (<abbr title=\"Medical Research Council\">MRC<\/abbr>).<\/p>\n<p>Universities and Science Minister Jo Johnson said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">I am very pleased to reappoint Donald Brydon as chairman of the <abbr title=\"Medical Research Council\">MRC<\/abbr>. His exemplary supervision since becoming chairman, his unique business knowledge and his experience of chairing a range of different organisations make him ideally placed to continue leading the council in their support of ground-breaking UK medical research.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Donald Brydon said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">I am delighted to be reappointed to the <abbr title=\"Medical Research Council\">MRC<\/abbr>, an organisation whose work has a direct impact on people\u2019s lives across the globe.
