{"id":74937,"date":"2016-10-12T09:07:24","date_gmt":"2016-10-12T09:07:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=8a164cfbb5798804e3095d8135d1504d"},"modified":"2016-10-12T09:07:24","modified_gmt":"2016-10-12T09:07:24","slug":"news-story-manufacturing-and-materials-apply-for-innovation-funding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=74937","title":{"rendered":"News story: Manufacturing and materials: apply for innovation funding"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Innovate UK has up to \u00a315 million to invest in business projects that seek solutions to technical and commercial challenges in the field of manufacturing and materials.<\/p>\n<p>The UK is the 9th largest producer in the world with an output of $247 billion, and new manufacturing processes and materials can be a source of global competitive advantage.<\/p>\n<p>This competition aims to support projects that lead to increased productivity, competitiveness and growth for UK businesses, especially small and medium-sized ones.<\/p>\n<p>Projects must cover one of the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>innovation in a manufacturing system, technology, process or business model. For example, in process engineering, industrial biotechnology, mechanical conversion processes, coatings, surface engineering, textiles, supply chain management, new product introduction processes or remanufacture<\/li>\n<li>innovation in materials development, properties, integration or reuse.
