Registration is now open.<\/a> It closes on 25 November 2016 at 12:30pm.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The event is taking place at the Grand Connaught Rooms<\/a> in London.<\/p>\n

Jim Pennycook<\/a>, Head of Operations at CDE<\/abbr>, will introduce CDE<\/abbr> and give an overview of proof-of-concept research funding opportunities for innovative science and technology providers.<\/p>\n

Technical experts from Dstl<\/abbr> (the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory) will provide specific information about the themed competition: \u2018beyond battery power\u2019<\/a>. This competition has up to \u00a3750,000 available for fully funded phase-1 projects.<\/p>\n

Also, technical experts from Dstl<\/abbr> will provide specific information about another themed competition: \u2018synthetic biology for transparent materials\u2019<\/a>. This competition also has up to \u00a3750,000 available for fully funded phase-1 projects.<\/p>\n

Bruce Hardie, CDE<\/abbr> Technology Manager will brief on what CDE<\/abbr> is all about, our funding opportunities and how to work with us.<\/p>\n

In addition, Bruce will talk about how to create a great CDE<\/abbr> proposal for CDE<\/abbr> funding.<\/a><\/p>\n

Attendees will be able to book a face-to-face meeting with CDE<\/abbr> and Dstl<\/abbr> subject matter experts to discuss potential proposals to the \u2018beyond battery power\u2019 themed competition<\/a> and the \u2018synthetic biology for transparent materials\u2019 themed competition<\/a> once you\u2019ve signed up for the main event.<\/p>\n

There\u2019ll be networking opportunities with other potential bidders, current Dstl<\/abbr> suppliers, CDE<\/abbr>, Dstl<\/abbr> and military experts.<\/p>\n
