As Director of Financial<br \/>\nServices she has led on the development and negotiation of financial services policy in the <abbr title=\"European Union\">EU<\/abbr> and international fora and the international competitiveness of the UK in financial services.<\/p>\n<p>She replaces Charles Roxburgh, who was appointed Second Permanent Secretary to the Treasury in June.<\/p>\n<p>She will take up her new role immediately.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"further-information\">Further information<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>appointment follows an external competition<\/li>\n<li>Prime Minister made the appointment on the recommendation of the Civil Service Commissioner and with the approval of the Chancellor<\/li>\n<li>before joining the Treasury in 2014, Ms Braddick held a number of roles at the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA). She was Director of Prudential Policy at the PRA (2012 \u2013 2014); Head of Prudential Banking Policy at the FSA (2011-12); and Head of Department in the International Division (2008 -11).
