{"id":77101,"date":"2016-12-09T15:41:20","date_gmt":"2016-12-09T15:41:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=4e0b994a24d6b7d22fbfaada6246154c"},"modified":"2016-12-09T15:41:20","modified_gmt":"2016-12-09T15:41:20","slug":"news-story-schools-that-work-for-everyone-consultation-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=77101","title":{"rendered":"News story: Schools that work for everyone: consultation update"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Proposals to create a school system that works for everyone, not just the privileged few, by creating more good school places are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/consultations\/schools-that-work-for-everyone\">currently being consulted on<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The proposals include plans to remove the \u2018faith cap\u2019 on new free schools on the basis that it has not been as effective as hoped in promoting diversity.<\/p>\n<p>Evidence shows that in all new minority faith designated free schools there is a single dominant ethnic group constituting at least 80% of the pupils on average.<\/p>\n<p>This compares to Catholic faith schools where the largest ethnic group is under 75%.
