{"id":77764,"date":"2017-01-06T15:35:25","date_gmt":"2017-01-06T15:35:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=0877cdc94617bdbc36188a32f93742bc"},"modified":"2017-01-06T15:35:25","modified_gmt":"2017-01-06T15:35:25","slug":"news-story-new-deal-to-help-schools-save-cash-on-computer-equipment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=77764","title":{"rendered":"News story: New deal to help schools save cash on computer equipment"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Schools considering buying new tablets, laptops or desktop devices this year could save thousands of pounds by taking advantage of a new deal developed by the <abbr title=\"Department for Education\">DfE<\/abbr> and Crown Commercial Services (<abbr title=\"Crown Commercial Service\">CCS<\/abbr>).<\/p>\n<p>To qualify, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/technology-hardware-for-schools\">schools need to submit their requirements for new devices<\/a> and send it to <abbr title=\"Crown Commercial Service\">CCS<\/abbr> at <a href=\"mailto:technologyaggregation@crowncommercial.gov.uk\">technologyaggregation@crowncommercial.gov.uk<\/a> by 10 February 2017. A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/technology-hardware-for-schools#Aggregation-for-schools-webinar\">webinar<\/a> explains the process in more detail.<\/p>\n<p><abbr title=\"Crown Commercial Service\">CCS<\/abbr> will then work with suppliers to get the best price and notify schools after the contract is awarded on 28 March 2017.
