{"id":78686,"date":"2017-02-06T17:05:58","date_gmt":"2017-02-06T17:05:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=1ae6bcd3d3e2c3eee3113cac1db24db7"},"modified":"2017-02-06T17:05:58","modified_gmt":"2017-02-06T17:05:58","slug":"press-release-new-safety-measures-for-a47-in-norfolk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=78686","title":{"rendered":"Press release: New safety measures for A47 in Norfolk"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The improvements, to the A47 Acle Straight as the road passes through The Broads, are due to begin on Monday 13 February, and come ahead of consultations into major upgrades elsewhere on the A47 that will start in the spring.<\/p>\n<p>The safety work taking place this month consists of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>improving traffic signs, road markings and kerb alignment at the A47 and A1064 roundabout<\/li>\n<li>improving warning signs, road markings, and hazard posts at farm accesses around Wherryman\u2019s Way<\/li>\n<li>improving advance direction and warning signs at the Halvergate junction<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Highways England project sponsor Steve Cox said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">Highways England is committed to improving driver safety across all of our roads, and the work we are doing on the A47 show that safety is our priority both in Norfolk and across the East of England.
