{"id":78956,"date":"2017-02-15T11:04:00","date_gmt":"2017-02-15T11:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=a06a3dfb0ab025354364d5c29bdc9f3a"},"modified":"2017-02-15T11:04:00","modified_gmt":"2017-02-15T11:04:00","slug":"news-story-cma-updates-register-of-advisory-and-warning-letters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=78956","title":{"rendered":"News story: CMA updates register of advisory and warning letters"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/competition-law-warning-and-advisory-letters-register\">register<\/a> lists the letters that the Competition and Markets Authority (<abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr>) sent out in 2016 to companies it was concerned might be breaking competition law, along with details of the relevant sector and the suspected behaviour of concern.<\/p>\n<p>The <abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr> sends <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/competition-law-warning-and-advisory-letters-register\">advisory and warning letters<\/a> to businesses where it is concerned that their practices may be harming competition, but where a full formal investigation would not currently be justified under its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/cma-prioritisation-principles\">prioritisation principles<\/a>.
