These include components for <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.boeing.co.uk\/\">Boeing\u2019s<\/a> next-generation 737, 737 MAX and 777 aircraft. This should enhance production efficiency and reduce costs.<\/p>\n<p>Locating the plant alongside the <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sheffield.ac.uk\/\">University of Sheffield\u2019s<\/a> world-class <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amrc.co.uk\/\">Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC)<\/a> will also allow Boeing to initiate a major research and development programme. Specifically the aerospace company will look to innovate new techniques in manufacturing.<\/p>\n<p>New jobs are also expected to be created in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Boeing is a co-founder of the AMRC.
