{"id":79243,"date":"2017-02-24T14:33:14","date_gmt":"2017-02-24T14:33:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=1758355fcf8e37ca0adc6a59eea92903"},"modified":"2017-02-24T14:33:14","modified_gmt":"2017-02-24T14:33:14","slug":"news-story-cma-consults-on-mastercardvocalink-undertakings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=79243","title":{"rendered":"News story: CMA consults on Mastercard\/VocaLink undertakings"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Last month, the Competition and Markets Authority (<abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr>) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/cma-to-consider-mastercardvocalink-remedies\">announced it would look in detail<\/a> at whether the undertakings offered by Mastercard UK Holdco Limited, an affiliate of MasterCard International Incorporated, (Mastercard) and VocaLink Holdings Ltd (VocaLink) remove the need to carry out an in-depth merger investigation.<\/p>\n<p>The <abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr> is now consulting formally on whether the proposals are sufficient to address its competition concerns before reaching a final decision. Interested parties are invited to submit their responses by 11 March 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Mastercard and VocaLink have offered a package of measures which consists of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>VocaLink making its existing network connectivity available to a new supplier of infrastructure services to LINK.
