The event is for graduates and undergraduates who want to find out more about the work of lawyers and trainees in <abbr title=\"HM Revenue and Customs\">HMRC<\/abbr>.<\/p>\n<p>The Open Day will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>an introduction to <abbr title=\"HM Revenue and Customs\">HMRC<\/abbr> Solicitor\u2019s Office and its role in the wider government legal community<\/li>\n<li>workshops demonstrating the work of litigation and advisory lawyers within <abbr title=\"HM Revenue and Customs\">HMRC<\/abbr>\n<\/li>\n<li>a panel discussion with legal trainees and qualified lawyers in <abbr title=\"HM Revenue and Customs\">HMRC<\/abbr>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"date-and-location\">Date and location<\/h3>\n<p>The Open Day will take place on Friday 7 April 2017 from 12:30pm to 5pm in central London.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"who-can-apply\">Who can apply<\/h3>\n<p>To be eligible to apply for a place at the Open Day, you must be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a law student currently in the penultimate or final year of your undergraduate degree<\/li>\n<li>a student of any non-law discipline currently in the final year of your undergraduate degree<\/li>\n<li>currently studying for the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL)<\/li>\n<li>currently studying for the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) or Legal Practice Course (LPC).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"how-to-apply\">How to apply<\/h3>\n<p>In no more than 250 words, explain why you would like to attend an Open Day at <abbr title=\"HM Revenue and Customs\">HMRC<\/abbr>.  Along with this paragraph send an email with your name, contact details, university and student status to <a href=\"mailto:events.sols@hmrc.gsi.gov.uk\"><abbr title=\"HM Revenue and Customs\">HMRC<\/abbr> Events<\/a> by 5pm on Friday 17 March 2017.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"allocation-of-places\">Allocation of places<\/h3>\n<p>Your application will be assessed and successful candidates will be invited to attend the Open Day.
