{"id":79409,"date":"2017-03-01T11:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-03-01T11:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=41915edc08dd640004dd278093efb384"},"modified":"2017-03-01T11:00:00","modified_gmt":"2017-03-01T11:00:00","slug":"news-story-dvsa-non-executive-chair-appointed-for-first-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=79409","title":{"rendered":"News story: DVSA non-executive chair appointed for first time"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Bridget, who takes up post today (1 March 2017), is an economist who has set up and run a number of consultancies and has a track record of advising public and private sector organisations on large-scale transformation.<\/p>\n<p>She\u2019s been a commissioner for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/national-infrastructure-commission\">National Infrastructure Commission<\/a> since its inception in October 2015, and is currently a non-executive director of Network Rail and Atom Bank.<\/p>\n<p>Bridget joins <abbr title=\"Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency\">DVSA<\/abbr> at a time when it is preparing to launch a new, 5-year strategy which will further improve road safety while providing customers with the best possible user experience and ensuring services offer value for money.<\/p>\n<p>Transport Minister Andrew Jones said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">Bridget brings extensive experience of the transport and infrastructure industry and will be a great asset to <abbr title=\"Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency\">DVSA<\/abbr>. Her previous roles will be vital in supporting and driving forward <abbr title=\"Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency\">DVSA<\/abbr> during the implementation of its 5-year strategy.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Bridget Rosewell said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\"><abbr title=\"Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency\">DVSA<\/abbr>\u2019s important work affects everyone in the country.
